WHY 3D DRAWINGS ARE SO IMPORTANT!!!
Other reasons you need to do your own 3D drawings
It will give you the confidence to push back against the AIA and contractor…
Who might have THEIR motivations, reasons… (cheaper, easier, faster, )
You have to be your own cheerleader…
By doing your own 3d, and reworking it 100 times,
You will have the confidence to face down the framer, when he says your windows are too high, too low….HE might be right…for HIM…
But with your 3d, and 50 more hours of thought and consideration… YOU might be right… the extra 6 inches up, erases the neighbors roof line..that is a win. It creates ONLY trees and sky in your view angle..THAT is a win
When he says, no shower window here..it will rot… you have to show him your rain shower splash diameter…. Which is different than a full face wall shot.. and remind him, you do not have 5 kids and insanity…but 2 adults, that know how to wipe down a ledge….
