The garage floor is 45 feet wide, just like the house. Only 30 feet are needed for a car, so the back 15 feet was saved as a clean storage room.
This is what keeps the whole house clean…. a huge place for seasonal stuff, genealogy papers, sewing supplies…things you don’t use every day, but you have to keep.
The main entrance is a normal 36 in door from the garage area. A 5 foot door to the outside exists in case somone wants to bring in a large object to work on… motorcycle/car repair, a pool table, ping pong…
The room is absolutely bug proof, and kept very clean and dry. The temperature remains the same, since it is lined with cement, and half under ground..
Since it is has a cement wall on one side, it could be a tornado safe place…but really… we live in Atlanta… nothing happens here.
