Think of the tile guy…
He is one of the most expensive, and rare trades…
He has to be massively strong…
He has to carry pallets of 50lb bags of cement, grout, tile…usually up the stairs by himself…
His window of experience is only between 10 to 20 years at most… because this trade wears you out!
He is old enough to have experience, but young enough to still be strong.
And he has to have patience, …to lay tile one by one, down on the floor & up to ceiling, wet cut the tile with a diamond blade to fit, and make sure the backing board is put in right, sealed, and waterproof… what he does will be there for 30 years..AND nothing can leak!.
So, you are looking for someone that is strong & artistic & patient…. great …now go out and find THIS guy… It will cost you!
Cost… sure beautiful tile like this costs more….but kitchens & bathrooms that used for several generations, are worth it.
